This week, we feature audio from a 2019 Plenary panel titled A Collaborative Imperative? Libraries and the Emerging Scholarly Communication Future. The presentation is moderated by Beth Bernhardt, Consortia Account Manager, Oxford University Press and a Charleston Conference Director. The panel consisted of Lorcan Dempsey, Vice President, Membership and Research, Chief Strategist at OCLC, Jason Price, Director of Licensing Services at SCELC, and Alicia Wise, Director & Consultant, at Information Power Ltd. We’d like to thank Beth and all of the panelists for the wonderful presentation, and we hope you enjoy this week’s episode.
As a reminder, the Charleston Conference 2020 Call for Papers is now open. Submit your proposals before July 8 at https://charlestonlibraryconference.com/call-for-papers/.
Visit the Charleston Conference website to discover how we are responding to Covid-19. Our current plans are to provide a hybrid event, with the conference on-site in Charleston and an online/virtual component to go alongside it. If something changes and federal or state guidelines prevent us from meeting in person, then we have contingency plans to go fully online. Check out charlestonlibraryconference.com for updates and more details as they become available.
