Charleston Library Conference

Aug 7, 2023

Audio from the 2022 Charleston Conference from a Session titled "The Places We’ve Been: NISOs Interoperable System of Controlled Digital Lending Update.” The NISO Working Group that is developing a consensus framework in support of controlled digital lending (CDL) of book content by libraries began its work in January, 2022. The framework—to be published as a NISO Recommended Practice—will describe existing practices and define best practices for many aspects of this relatively new service model. This session was presented by Allen Jones (New School), Nettie Lagace (NISO), Robert Cartolano (Columbia University), Sebastian Hammer (IndexData).
